• Enhance app’s UI for visual appeal and usability.

• Conduct thorough UI testing and implement improvements.

• Integrate front-end components with back-end functionality.

• Develop user documentation (manuals, guides, tutorials).

• Optimize the app for scalability and responsiveness.

• Build and maintain server-side components.

• Manage the app's database (design, optimization, migration).

• Develop and maintain APIs for frontend-backend communication.

• Ensure seamless communication and data flow within the app.

• Implement security best practices.

• Document backend code, APIs, and database schemas.

Qualifications:

Salary Grade 18

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leads the administrative and financial operations in the Center by managing the daily administrative operations of the Center for efficent workflow and task delegation, supervising administrative staff in providing support for smooth execution of tasks, and monitoring of expenditures ensuring financial activities align with the organizational goals. 

2. Leads the procurement processes ensuring that transactions with the suppliers follows standard protocols and on-time delivery of the procured items. 

3. Serves as the primary contact for financial and administrative reporting to UP Mindanao, UPRI, UP System and other funding collaborators of DiWA Center.Facilitates the recruitment and hiring process in the Center.

4. May be requested to get involved in preparation of proposal such as in drafting Line-Item Budget of the project. 

5. Manages the progress of infrastructure and assist the Center Director in preparation and submission of proposals for future expansion goals. 

6. Proficient in using MS Excel, especially on basic programming (use of functions) to create dashboard for tracking adminstrative and finance transactions in the Center.

7. Performs other tasks assigned by the Center Director. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics or related discipline. A master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.

• At least 4 years experience in the field of research.

• Experience in planning, coordinating, and supervising activities.

Salary Grade 13

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leads planning and execution of extension services (internships, training, workshops, etc.) aligned with quarterly objectives.

2. Coordinates with the Center Director to secure qualified resource persons for activities.

3. Manages funding acquisition for extension services, including Balik Scientist Program and WELS.

4. Oversees creation and administration of MOAs with local and international agencies to support extension services and collaborations.

5. Facilitates and manages DiWA Center's training services, ensuring proper pricing and efficient delivery.

6. Oversees the Center's social media activities and serves as the Information Officer (manages DiWA email).

7. Skilled in letter writing and communication to connect with partners and stakeholders.

8. Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Center Director.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Communications or a related field (a Master’s degree is an advantage).

• Experience in managing extension services, collaborations, or partnerships with local and international agencies is highly desirable.

• Experience in social media management and communications, including content creation and outreach strategies.

Skills:

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Filipino.

• High-level organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in using productivity tools (e.g., MS Office, Google Suite) and familiarity with design software or social media tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leads the conceptualization, execution, and management of research projects with the Center Director, ensuring alignment with research goals and overseeing timely completion of activities, data collection, and analysis; leads in research proposal preparation.

2. Oversees the preparation and submission of research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presents studies at conferences, ensuring effective communication for both academic and non-academic audiences.

3. Collaborates with internal and external research partners for interdisciplinary research initiatives.

4. Mentors students and junior researchers in research methodology and development.

5. Documents research data, methodologies, and findings to maintain comprehensive records.

6. Assists in all aspects of the data collection process for research projects.

7. Performs other tasks assigned by the Center Director.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Biological Sciences, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative/scientific field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are an advantage.

• Demonstrated experience in bioinformatics, phylodynamics, statistical data analysis for biological research, and XML language.

• Solid understanding of the research process, from conceptualization to publication, with hands-on experience in developing and managing research projects.

Skills:

• Skilled in using various bioinformatics tools and platforms (e.g., BEAST, IQ-TREE, or related tools).

• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar software tools used for bioinformatics workflows and data visualization.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills to develop research proposals, mentor researchers, and present complex ideas to diverse audiences.

Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the administrative and financial officer of the Center.

• Assist in the processing of related documents for the project such as procurement-related documents, employees compensation and benefits, and others.

• Ensure a smooth day-to-day office operations, particularly involving administrative matters, and is able to interact with stakeholders within and outside the organization.

• Assist in preparing compliant reports promptly to concerned units and offices within and outside the University;

• Assist in communicating with stakeholders for the creation of MOA, MOU, and other documents related to the smooth implementation of center activities;

• Assist the Project Officer and the Director of the center in hiring personnel for the center;

• Assist in the delivery of high quality of documentation and other related outputs.

Qualifications:

• At least Senior High School graduate, College graduates are given preference.
