Mr. Zython Paul Lachica has recently reached a significant milestone in his academic journey, celebrating the completion of his Master of Science in Modelling for Global Health with Distinction (Summa cum Laude) from the prestigious University of Oxford, United Kingdom. This accomplishment stands as a testament to his dedication and scholarly excellence.
During his time at Oxford, Mr. Lachica's dissertation focused on a critical area of global health research, exploring a multi-model approach to understanding disease burden, the effectiveness of control interventions, and the epidemiological dynamics of COVID-19 specifically in Mindanao, Philippines. Dr. May Anne Estrera Mata, our esteemed center director, served as Mr. Lachica's Research Placement Co-adviser, providing invaluable guidance and support throughout his research journey from March 2020 to June 2022.
